Mermaid Medical Group® & Front Line Medical Technologies Inc. Announce BeNeLux Launch of COBRA-OS®

Mermaid Medical Group® expands its partnership with Front Line Medical Technologies Inc. to bring the COBRA-OS® device to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg

Copenhagen, February 2026

Expansion into Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg
Mermaid Medical Group® is pleased to expand its distribution of the COBRA-OS® aortic occlusion device to the BeNeLux region in partnership with Front Line Medical Technologies Inc.

The COBRA‑OS, developed by Front Line Medical Technologies Inc., is an advanced aortic occlusion device for hemorrhage control that supports both full and partial REBOA techniques.
At 4 Fr, it is currently the smallest REBOA device on the market, enabling smaller arterial access and supporting rapid deployment in critical trauma settings.

The BeNeLux expansion builds on the exclusive distribution agreement established in 2024 for the UK and Nordic market. Based on the strong foundation established through close collaboration and strong commercial performance, both companies view this territorial growth as a natural next step in their partnership.

Partnership & Leadership Perspective
“The shared journey we’ve been on since the start of our collaboration has been both exciting and valuable, and we’re proud to reach this milestone,” said Sarah Latini, Product Manager at Mermaid Medical Group.
“Our partnership with Front Line Medical Technologies has strengthened our position in the endovascular field and reflects our shared focus on enhancing trauma care. Expanding into Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg is a logical next step. With a dedicated sales team already in place, we are fully prepared to bring this life-saving technology to even more healthcare providers across the region.”

About COBRA-OS® and REBOA Procedures
The COBRA-OS® Aortic Occlusion Device is developed by Front Line Medical Technologies Inc., and is designed for use in Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA) procedures.

COBRA-OS enables temporary full or partial aortic occlusion to control severe hemorrhage and stabilise patients with non-compressible, life-threatening bleeding.
In REBOA procedures, a balloon catheter is advanced through the femoral artery into the aorta and inflated to reduce distal blood flow, limiting hemorrhage while preserving perfusion to the heart and brain.

With a 4 Fr profile, COBRA-OS is currently the smallest REBOA device of its kind. The low-profile sheath enables smaller arterial access, and its design supports controlled and precise management of distal blood flow. Learn more about COBRA-OS here.
